Teambuilding Activity Ideas


Teambuilding activities are really important to allow your team to get to know one another in a more relaxed environment than that of the office, so that your team can work better within the office. Here´s are some ideas on what to do to make your teambuilding activity not only fun but effective.
 
Idea Number 1: Incentive Travel

If your Budget allows it, first and foremost we would recommend incentive travel. Nothing brings a group together quite like being together for a few days in an unknown place. Force your team out of their comfort zone and they will naturally feel more connected to the people that they go with that they at least know a little bit. Even a short incentive trip can do wonders for a team.

Idea Number 2: Adrenaline inducing Activities

Have you ever done something that you are scared of and somebody else has talked you through it? Did you feel more connected to that person afterwards? As humans we naturally feel more connected to people that we help, or who help us. Put your team through an adrenaline inducing activity together and they´ll come out stronger and feeling more connected to their teammates as a result.

Idea Number 3: Team Building Challenge Day

Host an event in which your team has to compete against other teams in the company or from other companies. By creating competition between your team and other groups, your team will quickly develop its own group identity and feel more connected to other team members. This will also be helpful highlight each person´s strengths and weaknesses, so that you can better manage your employees to their strengths in the office.

Idea Number 4: Ice Breakers and Communication Games

These are really good if you´re working with a new team as they allow you to get to know your team members a bit better. Games such as two truths and a lie can be used to allow employees to find out information about each other that they wouldn´t necessarily find out in a normal day to day conversation. Theses sorts of ice breakers invoke conversation that is more interesting than small talk, and thus help your employees to feel more connected and less awkward with one another.
